Support my journey

As TransPreacher, I often speak about incarnation: about a God who chose a body and about salvation that is lived in flesh and bone. Gender affirming care is part of how I live fully into the body God has given me. It is part of how I show up whole, grounded, and able to keep doing the work of preaching, organizing, and proclaiming good news in a world that so often denies transgender people our dignity.

Scripture tells us that the body is not a problem to be solved, but a gift to be honored. Jesus healed bodies not to make people “normal,” but to restore them to community, to wholeness, and to life. Gender affirming surgery is part of my becoming, part of my yes to life.

If you are able, I invite you to donate to my GoFundMe so that I can have top surgery. The cost of surgery and care is $11,000. If you can help me cover these costs, donate to https://www.gofundme.com/f/journey-with-joelle-supporting-her-gender-affirming-surgery

If you cannot give financially, sharing the link is also an act of care. Every gift, every share, every prayer matters.

My insurance comes from being retired military, and with the political climate of anti-trans legislation, there is not hope that this will change.

Thank you for seeing me. Thank you for standing with me. Thank you for helping me live more fully into the body God calls very good.

With love and hope,
Joelle
